How does Viagra work?
A man becomes impotent when the arteries within his penis become obstructed by cholesterol or other factors. Impotence can also be caused by diabetes related nerve damage or other factors.
Viagra relaxes compromised or damaged arteries within the penis and therefore allows blood to enter and fill the penile tissue thus causing the penis to become engorged with blood and hence become erect.
A man should take Viagra approximately one hour before he expects to have sex and should be careful not to eat greasy foods or drink excessively before taking the medication as it may interfere with its effectiveness.
Viagra will not cause an erection on its own. Sexual stimulation is necessary in order for the erection to occur. Once sexual intercourse is finished Viagra will not interfere with the penis’ ability to become limb again.
