Steven Gallegos

Steven Gallegos currently attends East Los Angeles College. He is a first-generation college student and is considered a non-traditional student double majoring in Psychology and Political Science, as well as holding various certificates within Addiction Studies Program. His focus since beginning his collegiate experience has been to be a part of something that will help not only him and his family, but his community. During his time at ELAC, he has proudly served as Vice President of Advocacy in 2021-2022 followed by his role as the President of the Associated Student Union for 2022-2023 term. He aims to continue to proudly serve his community, college, district, and region within his newly elected role as SSCCC Region VII, Regional Affairs Director for the 2023-2024 term. Steven is very passionate about being part of the process of representing and advocating for all students that make up our community colleges. Looking forward, he hopes to continue his studies and to actively advocate at UCLA, where his focus will continue to be education, growth, understanding, and finding new means of becoming a resource for those he aims to serve.
