The Student Senate for California Community Colleges is proud to announce the second annual Advocacy Academy, scheduled for November 22 - 24, 2024, at the Sheraton Grand in Downtown Sacramento. This empowering event is designed to equip students with the skills to advocate for change on their campuses and within their communities. The academy is not limited to students interested in politics; it is open to all who wish to learn strategies for influencing campus leaders, trustee boards, city councils, and legislators. Whether advocating to fellow students or a senator, the fundamental skills—negotiating, communicating, and relationship building—remain the same. Students will gain a deeper understanding of these skills and many more.
