The Student Senate for California Community Colleges (SSCCC) is looking for an energetic, organized, creative, results-oriented professional to fill the position of SSCCC Marketing and Communications Coordinator. The Marketing and Communications Coordinator works with the Executive Director to develop external communications intended to inform, engage, and inspire the SSCCC community about the organization’s activities and mission to pursue policies that will improve student access, promote student success, engage and empower local student leaders, and enrich the collegiate experience for all California community college students. The Associate Director serves as the second to the Executive Director and focuses on association management, student recruitment/retention and engagement, leadership development, and advocacy activity. The Associate Director works independently under general direction by the Executive Director possessing strong leadership skills, analytical and strategic thinking abilities, strong multi-task ability, and superior interpersonal skills. Supervision responsibilities include supporting, training, team building, mentoring, and monitoring internal processes.
The Associate Director reports to the Executive Director, assisting with the implementation of SSCCC's mission, administrative and supervisorial duties, and organizing. The Associate Director designs and enacts student engagement, recruitment, and members retention efforts while building a leadership structure for the organization.
