The Student Senate for California Community Colleges is proud to announce the fourth annual Advocacy Academy, scheduled for December 4- 6, 2026, at the Santa Clara Marriott in Santa Clara.

This empowering event is designed to equip students with the skills to advocate for change on their campuses and within their communities. The academy is not limited to students interested in politics; it is open to all who wish to learn strategies for influencing campus leaders, trustee boards, city councils, and legislators. Whether advocating to fellow students or a senator, the fundamental skills—negotiating, communicating, and relationship building—remain the same. Students will gain a deeper understanding of these skills and many more.

Registration and hotel booking coming soon!

Please Note: SSCCC is able to offer reduced registration fees thanks to partial support from Student Representation Fee (SRF) funds collected from California Community College students. These funds help ensure broad access to leadership and advocacy opportunities.
