The 2026 SSCCC General Assembly marked a milestone year as we celebrated our 20th General Assembly, bringing together over 800 students and advisors from across California for a multi-day, student-led convening centered on leadership, advocacy, and student voice.
Throughout the three-day event, student leaders built their skills as advocates and representatives through workshops, general sessions, and peer engagement. Attendees connected with fellow students from across the state, explored current statewide and national issues impacting community college students, and strengthened their understanding of shared governance and effective leadership. Delegates also engaged in the resolution process, debating and voting on a wide range of student-submitted proposals, with 53 resolutions passed to help guide SSCCC’s advocacy priorities for the year ahead. In addition, delegates elected the incoming 2025–26 SSCCC Board Officers, continuing the legacy of student leadership at the statewide level.
