SAN FRANCISCO, CA – The Student Senate for California Community Colleges (SSCCC) is proud to introduce its Executive Board for the 2026 -2027 term. Elected by student delegates from across the state during the 2026 General Assembly in San Francisco, this new board will lead the organization in advocating for over 2.2 million California community college students.

 

2026 - 2027 SSCCC Executive Board:

President - Davina Malbrough, Merritt College 

Vice President - Destiny McLemore, Los Angeles Trade Tech College

Vice President of Regional Affairs - Valerie Pamphile, Barstow College

Vice President of Legislative Affairs - Carlos Flores-Olson, Rio Hondo College

Vice President of Finance - Kevin Hill, Sierra College

Vice President of Communications - Savannah Hui, Chabot College

 

"The 30th General Assembly was a huge success and marked an important milestone for the organization. First, I’d like to extend my congratulations to the newly elected Executive Board and all the Regional Officers on their successful elections. The Delegate Assembly passed resolutions that will shape the organization's direction and priorities for the upcoming term. I look forward with great anticipation to the leadership, vision, and impact this new board will bring in the next term." said Jerry Reyes, current President of SSCCC.

 

The newly elected board will officially take office on July 1, 2026.

 

In addition to the elections, delegates passed 58 resolutions addressing key student concerns, including access, equity, affordability, wellness, and advocacy. These resolutions will guide the Student Senate’s advocacy efforts in the coming year.

The California Community Colleges is the largest system of higher education in the nation, composed of 73 districts and 117 colleges serving over 2.2 million students per year. The Student Senate for California Community Colleges mission is to enrich the collegiate experience for all California community college students by pursuing policies that will improve student access and success while engaging and empowering local student leaders and honoring equity and diversity.
