SACRAMENTO, Calif. – On September 13th, the Student Senate for California Community Colleges (SSCCC) proudly welcomed the San Diego College of Continuing Education (SDCCE) as its 117th member. The celebration took place at SDCCE’s North City Campus in Serra Mesa, where the college’s student government, the Associated Students of the College of Continuing took part in the event.
"I am beyond excited to welcome SDCCE to the SSCCC family. As a former ESL student, I am especially eager to provide a platform for our ESL, disabled, and non-credit students to voice their concerns, goals, and aspirations. The SSCCC remains committed to creating a more equitable, diverse, and inclusive system for all students." - President Ivan Hernandez
With this addition, the SSCCC now represents a diverse network of 117 community college student government organizations across California. The SSCCC is dedicated to enhancing the collegiate experience for all California community college students by advocating for policies that boost student access and success, empowering local student leaders, and promoting equity and diversity.
