Every academic year, the Student Senate for California Community Colleges (SSCCC) undertakes the responsibility of selecting California Community College (CCC) students to act as representatives on systemwide participatory governance committees. These committees are designed to formulate policies, implement effective practices, and allocate resources to address various issues affecting the 116 CCC campuses. The following is a list of the present participatory governance groups within California community colleges, along with their respective descriptions. We highly encourage students interested in policy formation to join on of these governance groups.

Library Services Platform (LSP)
The purpose of the committee is to advise and guide the California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office (CCCCO), the Council of Chief Librarians (CCL) and the California Community Colleges Technology Center (CCCTC) on the deployment and management of Library Services Platform (LSP) Project for the California Community Colleges. The Committee shall:
● Review budget and project progress, and provide input on program planning.
● Establish uniform system standards and practices.
● Solicit input from respective constituent groups to inform the committee.
● Communicate project status to respective constituent groups and the field.
● Provide recommendations to the CCCCO, CCL and CCCTC on program activities.

Rising Scholars Advisory Committee (RSAC)
Provide technical assistance and guidance to the community college system in order to continue the efforts of building a strong foundation for success among our currently and formerly incarcerated students.

Telecommunications and Technology Advisory Committee
TTAC advises the California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office on the continued development and deployment of telecommunications and educational technologies in the California Community Colleges. The committee researches technology trends and recommends the direction for technology infrastructure initiatives within the California Community Colleges system.

Universal Design Taskforce
This task force will provide: 1) recommendations on baseline policies and regulations that ensures accessibility to required instructional materials and technology for all students; 2) for establishing a robust and sustained infrastructure to strengthen and scale UDL practices across the system; 3) for guidance on maximizing, leveraging, or adjusting existing system resources to advance the learning outcomes of students with disabilities; and 4) to Inform strategies for state-level support and resources needed to enhance campus efforts to strengthen inclusion and prioritize the design of instructional and service delivery that values learner variability.

Veterans Advisory Committee
Provide the Chancellor’s Office advice and support on policy and programs related to veterans services.
