Ivan Hernandez
Ivan Hernandez (He/Him) grew up in Mexico and relocated to California in 2016. He attends Diablo Valley College (DVC), where he double majors in Computer Science and Business Administration.
Over the years, Ivan has held multiple leadership positions within the school community and beyond. He has served as Inter-Club Council (ICC) Chair, President of the Associated Students of Diablo Valley College (ASDVC), Student Trustee for the Contra Costa Community College District (4CD), Region III Vice Chair, and Vice President of the Student Senate for California Community Colleges (SSCCC).
In addition, Ivan has led a nonprofit community service organization as President, orchestrating large-scale community service events for hundreds of volunteers. He also served as the Rotaract District Representative, liaising between Interact, Rotaract, and Rotary.
Ivan is described as caring, compassionate, and hardworking. He enjoys spending time with friends and family and dedicates his time to community service.
Excited to help lead the Student Senate as the newly elected President for the 2024-25 school year, Ivan aims to foster an inclusive and welcoming environment for all students. His long-term goal is to make a significant impact on the higher education system, leaving it better than he found it.
