Maya Tamura
Maya Tamura (She/Her/Hers) currently attends Monterey Peninsula College in Region IV and is
ecstatic to have the opportunity to serve Region IV as your new Regional Affairs Director. In
terms of issues of the region, she plans to focus most on the basic needs and visibility of students
with disabilities. She is majoring in Kinesiology, Nutritional Science, and Psychology; when she
transfers, she hopes it is to a university in Canada (either the University of Toronto or McGill
University). Following this, she hopes to have a career coaching Division I volleyball, first as a
graduate assistant and then working her way up from there. In terms of passions, there are too
many to count! However, she distinctly prefers knitting to crocheting and adores baking and
cooking.
