Andrew Santana

Andrew Santana is a passionate student leader at Reedley College and a proud first-generationcollege student. Navigating the college system has presented its challenges, which has fueled his desire to support underserved communities facing similar obstacles. Therefore, in 2022, he earned his Associate Degree for Transfer in Political Science, motivated by his curostiy to deeply understand the structures of the political field. This journey has now inspired him to pursue an additional Associate Degree for Transfer in Sociology.

With these goals in mind, Andrew aspires to work in Public Affairs or Administration, where hecan advocate for underserved communities and help create more inclusive opportunities. He currently serves as an ASG Senator, allowing him to voice important issues and actively support those in need of resources. His dedication to community involvement shines through his work as a Poll Worker during local and presidential elections, where he has helped share vital information about voter rights. He has also participated in campus governance committees, such as the Equity and Student Experience Committee, and previously served as State President for the California Association of Student Leaders, empowering fellow students to engage with pressing issues.

Andrew is genuinely excited about the opportunity to serve the students of the Central Valley and to create accessible ways for them to stay informed about developments in the Region V for SSCCC.
